The Office of Student Activities is an advisor, ally, administrator, educator and mentor to the students of Southwestern University.

What We Do

We facilitate learning experiences through new student orientation, leadership opportunities, student organizations, social activities, and other services that promote personal growth and the empowerment of students for success in our diverse community and beyond it.

  • Click here to apply for Community Chest funding.  Application deadlines are October 19th, November 16th, January 25th, February 22nd, and March 29th, all at 5:00 pm.

 

  • UPC wants to know what type of performers you want to see at Friday Night Live.
    • Click here to give your opinion!  If you take the time to fill out the survey, you’ll also be entered into a raffle for signed merchandise from an upcoming FNL event. 
    • Your student organization can propose an event with this form.  Be part of making your idea a reality and have your organization’s name on the publicity!

  • Image preview 6:30pm - 8:00pm: Spooktakular
    The Office Residence Life would like to invite SU staff, faculty, and their children to our annual Halloween event that happens on east campus (residence halls Brown-Cody, Mabee, and Kurth).  Residents will be decorating their halls in theme for Halloween and this is an opportunity for you to bring your children through the residence halls and have them trick or treat with students of Southwestern! Check in is in Kurth Lobby.

  • 10:00pm: Friday Night Live, Homecoming Concert: Jessie Payo
    Formerly a member of the pop duo Jupiter Rising, Jessie Payo has now launched a solo career.  She is a singer-songwriter who plays everything from pop to blues to jazz to rock and roll.  Jessie has opened for Jason Mraz, The Black Eyed Peas, Lauryn Hill, Lupe Fiasco, Etta James, Boyz II Men, and Eric Hutchinson among others.  Her music has been featured on “So You Think You Can Dance”, “My Sweet Sixteen”, “The Hills”, “Criminal Minds”, and other television shows.
