The Office of Student Activities is an advisor, ally, administrator, educator and mentor to the students of Southwestern University.

What We Do

We facilitate learning experiences through new student orientation, leadership opportunities, student organizations, social activities, and other services that promote personal growth and the empowerment of students for success in our diverse community and beyond it.

  • Image preview Southwestern’s Tree Decorating 11:00am - 1:00pm
    The Southwestern Christmas tree in Bishops Lounge needs decorations.  Come help us get it ready for the holiday - bring an ornament from home or make your own using our supplies.  There will also be cookies, hot chocolate, and carols for you to enjoy while you work!

December 4th, 2015

  • Image preview Friday Night Live presents: Casino Night 7:00pm
    This week’s FNL features Casino Night! Come out and play blackjack, craps, roulette, Texas hold’em and slot machines. Each attendee will receive “$20,000” in poker chips, which may be used at any table. Cash your chips in at the end of the night to enter drawings for various prizes. You can also enjoy a sampling of mocktails and snacks.

    You can make a profound difference in preventing suicide on campus!  Participate in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Campus Walk this spring on April 10 at 2pm beginning on the Southwestern University Academic Mall.  Let’s engage our campus community in creating a world where we no longer lose our friends, teachers, and loved ones to suicide. More information about the event coming fall 2015.
