At the heart of the Southwestern University campus is the Roy H. Cullen Academic Mall. Spanning 10 lush, tree-lined acres, the mall is great place for study, recreation or a mid-day nap. Standing at the center of campus, at The Brown Fountain, it is possible to view the many buildings that are home to academic departments and student life. Buildings seen from this view (clockwise): A. Frank Smith Jr. Library, Mood-Bridwell Hall, Red & Charline McCombs Campus Center, Lois Perkins Chapel, F.W. Olin Building, East Side Residence Halls, Alma Thomas Fine Arts Center. Dedicated in 1992, the mall is named for Roy H. Cullen, a member of Southwestern's Board of Trustees since 1973.
