Students, faculty, and community members are invited to attend Dr. Juan Dominguez’s seminar about his exciting neuroendocrinology research. Dr. Dominguez, a professor at the University of Texas at Austin and member of that university’s Institute for Neuroscience, runs the Neuroendocrinology and Motivation Lab. This lab focuses on understanding how motivated behaviors (e.g. mating) are managed by the nervous and endocrine systems. By studying sexual behavior via methods involving cellular, neurochemical, endocrinological, anatomical, behavioral, and molecular analysis, Dr. Dominguez and his lab hope to learn about the way the brain impacts behavior in healthy and disordered states.
Following Dr. Juan Dominguez’s seminar, students and faculty are encouraged to join Dr. Dominguez for lunch in the Commons.
