LETTERS FROM ALUMNI ON THE FINAL SEASON OF CLUB LACROSSE AT SU
[1/31/09] The one thing that sticks out in my mind about Southwestern Lacrosse is the last game of each season. Those games, our team always played it's best. We would leave the game wondering "Why didn't we play like that all season?" I have an answer - those other games were not our last games. It seems that every team that is playing its "last game" plays up. They raise their play to another level. I look back and think if we would have played like every game was our "last game" we would have had some really great seasons.
It is my challenge to you to play every game this season like it is your last game. This should not be hard - these are your last games. You have the unique opportunity to close an era of lacrosse and Southwesten history. What a priviledge. You will leave a lasting impression of Southwestern Lacrosse Club on everyone. So, go start our last season, our last first game of the season, our last time to play Baylor by running their butts into the ground! Play your hardest, your best! Leave everything on the field, and remember that you represent a long lineage of the Southwestern University Lacrosse Club. Go Bucs!
