SPOTLIGHT- Back to Top of Page
Spotlight is a concert series that brings Georgetown ISD students to Southwestern to perform their UIL music and other repertoire for an audience. These students put much time and hard work into their UIL solo & ensemble music and Delta Omicron’s SPOTLIGHT is a chance for them to perform their music one more time. This year the spotlight is on Georgetown HS UIL soloists and small ensembles, Tippit MS Choir, the Benold MS choirs and Williams Elementary School Percussion Ensemble. For more information and performance times for each group, please check the schedule.
Charity Silent Auction benefiting Mr. Holland’s Opus and MacDowell Colony Fund- Back to Top of Page
The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation keeps music alive in schools and communities by donating musical instruments to under-funded music programs, giving young people the many benefits of music education, helping them to be better students and inspiring creativity and expression through playing music.
The MacDowell Colony is the nation’s leading artist colony. The Colony nurtures the arts by offering creative individuals of the highest talent an inspiring environment in which they can produce enduring works of the imagination.
The auction will take place in the Bishops Lounge from 10:00 am through 3:30 pm. The auction items were donated by local Georgetown businesses and include a Full Day spa package at Novita Spa, “Have Your Dog Painted Playing Poker” by Greg Glowka, Family Fun Bowl at Mel’s Lonestar Lanes, a birthday party for 8 at All Things Kids, $50 gift card from HEB, and much more!
