Room Damages Appeal Information
If you feel you have been wrongly charged for damages, you have a means to appeal them through an online Housing Damage Appeal form. Damage appeals will be accepted through this online form only and must be submitted by Friday, July 1, 2016. You will be notified through your University email of your appeal status by Friday, July 15, 2016. Click here for more information on the damage appeal process.
2016-17 Housing for Incoming Students
First-Year housing assignments will be determined by each student’s First-Year Seminar (FYS) enrollment. Click here for a list of seminar descriptions and their assigned residence halls. All incoming First-Year students are required to complete the online form, Preferences for First-Year Living Experience, which can be found in your student portal in WebAdvisor. This form enables us to match you with a roommate, be sure to fill it out completely (once completed, you should not access the form again since it will erase all previous data entered). Specific room numbers and roommate assignments will be emailed to Southwestern email addresses in July.
Transfer and readmitted students planning to live on-campus are required to complete the transfer and readmit student housing form in WebAdvisor.

Fall 2016 Move-in Dates
First-Year and incoming transfer students will move in to housing on Friday, August 12, 2016.
Returning students will move in to housing starting at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016. No students will be allowed to move in earlier unless they are on the early arrival list for an approved group.
Meal Plan Information
Students living in the following halls are automatically assigned a default meal plan of 12 meals per week.
- Brown-Cody, Kurth, Mabee, and Ruter residence halls
- McCombs Residential Center
- Moody-Shearn and Herman Brown residence halls
To add or change your meal plan visit WebAdvisor and click on the change meal plan link. Please be sure to make changes for both semesters. Changes will not automatically carry over to the next semester. The last day to change your meal plan is Friday, August 26, 2016 by 5:00 p.m.
To cancel your meal plan (only students living in Lord Center, Dorothy Lord Center, off campus, and in fraternity houses are eligible) please email email@example.com. Before emailing please check the add/change meal plan screen in WebAdvisor. If a meal plan is not listed for 16/FA or 17/SP you are not currently assigned a plan. The last day to cancel your meal plan is Friday, August 19, 2016 by 5:00 p.m.
2016 Summer Housing
Summer housing will be available in Lord Residential Center. All apartments are furnished with a full kitchen. A meal plan is not available in the summer. There will be two options for summer housing in the Lord Center apartments. Option 1 is the standard setup of 2 people per apartment at $30 per day per student. Option 2 is 4 students per apartment at $15 per day per student (4-student option is limited).
