Quality Enhancement Plan and
Topic Submission Form
Welcome to Southwestern University SACS Accreditation Reaffirmation website. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states. The Commission's mission is the enhancement of educational quality throughout the region and it strives to improve the effectiveness of institutions by ensuring that institutions meet standards established by the higher education community that address the needs of society and students.
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is the component of the reaffirmation process that reflects and affirms the commitment of the Commission on Colleges to enhancing the quality of higher education in the region and to focusing attention on student learning. The QEP describes a carefully designed course of action that addresses a well-defined and focused topic or issue related to enhancing student learning.
Topic selection is the first step in developing the QEP. Please use the form below to submit your topic suggestion. After topic selection, a broad-based committee will develop and write a focused QEP document that will be a key part of Southwestern's reaffirmation of accreditation. The final QEP is a 100-page document describing a 5-year project.
Deadline for QEP topic submission was November 1. QEP topic submissions are no longer being accepted. Thank you for all that have submitted topics.
Students that submitted topics were eligible to win $250. A drawing was held on November 2 and Lauren David won the $250 gift certificate.
