Grants
The Office of Foundation Relations works to help faculty, academic departments and the Southwestern community obtain funding from external agencies to strengthen the University’s programs. Our office can:
- Assist in locating funding sources from a wide range of government and private entities
- Work with you to develop strategies and approaches that are appropriate for the planned recipient of your proposal
- Coordinate proposals involving several departments or groups to address campus-wide needs or fund interdisciplinary projects
- Share previously compiled information on Southwestern and its students, faculty, facilities and programs - or develop new background materials as required by funding agencies
- Help with budget preparation Sample Budget
- Make sure your proposal is consistent with Southwestern’s policies and mission
- Serve as a clearinghouse to make sure possible multiple proposals to a single funding source are coordinated
- Obtain proposal clearance including the necessary signatures and permissions Signature Sheet for Campus Proposal Review and Approval
