NEW HEALTH REFORM LAW affects you...
If you are between 18-25 years of age, you may not be thinking of health insurance right now. You may think you’re healthy and don’t have to worry about it. Or, the cost may be keeping you from getting coverage. But what if you get into an accident or have a serious illness?
The Affordable Care Act is expanding options for young adults, students and those graduating just like you. Here are a few tips about your eligibility for these new benefits:
* You may be able to stay on your parent’s health insurance plan until you are 26 yrs old. Call the customer service number on the back of the insurance card for information. Get informed on Facebook: facebook.com/YoungAdultCoverage
* If you have been uninsured due to a pre-existing condition, you may be eligible to join the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan. Visit www.pcip.gov for plans in your state.
*Learn more about insurance options as well as public programs and community services that are available to you at http://finder.healthcare.gov
