The Office of Civic Engagement (OCE) collaborates with students, faculty, and community organizations to develop innovative projects that bring together learning goals, passions, and community needs.
We encourage students to develop and act upon a heightened sense of responsibility to one’s communities. Through civic engagement, individuals —as citizens of their communities, their nations, and the world— are empowered as agents of positive social change for a more democratic world. SU students are civically engaged as community-engaged learners, activists, and volunteers in the community.
The OCE serves as a link to the greater Georgetown community, assisting SU students in identifying local nonprofits that will provide quality opportunities for students to match their passions and academic work with their interests in social change.Learn More »
