  • Fourteen students from Southwestern have received Gilman International Scholarships in the past four years.

  • Students from Southwestern have won the Southwestern Anthropological Association’s studentpaper competition for four years in a row

  • Ninety percent of Southwestern graduates consistently say they are either very happy or satisfied with how Southwestern prepared them for employment or graduate school.

  • One year after leaving Southwestern, about 92 percent of graduates have consistently either found work or are attending graduate school.

  • Southwestern is among the 10 schools with the highest CPA Exam pass rates in the Southwest.

  • Education majors from Southwestern have been selected to receive scholarships from the Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators (TASPA) every year for the past 14 years. No other school has had so many students receive this scholarship, which honors the best teacher candidates in the state.

  • In the past eight years, four students from Southwestern have been selected to receive the Academic Internship Student Achievement Award from the Cooperative Education and Internship Association. No other school has had more than one student receive this award.
