Two graduating English majors, Allison Chance and Stephanie McCauley, were inducted on May 10 into Phi Beta Kappa, the country’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society.

Allison Chance and Stephanie McCauley, both English majors, joined twenty-nine fellow graduates at the induction ceremony for Phi Beta Kappa, which was held Friday afternoon, May 10, in the Red and Charline McCombs Campus Center. Faculty and staff who make up Southwestern’s Theta of Texas chapter of Phi Beta Kappa attended the event, along with family and friends of the inductees. Dr. Carina Evans Hoffpauir, Assistant Professor of English and PBK chapter President, conducted the initiation. Dr. Josephine Thinwa (‘06) gave an address to the inductees. Way to go, Stephanie and Allison!
