Assistant Sports Information Director

Southwestern University seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Sports Information Director.   This position will assist the Sports Information Director with all aspects of running the sports information office including but not limited to promoting, publicizing, and reporting on all athletic events and competitions.  Strong writing skills, experience with web site development/maintenance, and knowledge of sport statistical software are necessary.  Experience with intercollegiate or interscholastic football is preferred.  This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position with benefits. 

A minimum bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in communications, journalism or related field.   The successful candidate is expected to comply with departmental guidelines set forth by Southwestern University, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and the NCAA Division III.
