The Georgetown Project, a local nonprofit that coordinates initiatives to improve the lives of Georgetown’s children and youth, is hiring two interns.

The first intern will work with Bridges to Growth, coordinating educational childcare for children whose parents are attending weekly ESL classes.  This position requires developing creative activities, leading those activities, training volunteers, helping with set up and sign-in, etc.  The classes are held on Monday evenings, 6:30-8:30.  Bilingual applicants are especially encouraged to apply, though all are welcome.

The second internship is with GISD’s After School Action Program, which is an educationally focused after-school-care program for local middle schoolers.  Intern’s responsibilities are flexible and will make use of the SU student’s interests and talents.  Past opportunities have included tutoring/homework help, teaching the middle-schoolers a favorite hobby/skill, and assisting in administrative duties.  The possibilities are practically endless!  ASAP runs daily from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Email a resume to as soon as possible to indicate your interest.  We will forward names and resumes to The Georgetown Project’s director, who will schedule interviews.
