Debby Herbenick
Research Scientist and Co-director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University; Sexual Health Educator at the Kinsey Institute
Debby Herbenick, Ph.D., M.P.H., is a Research Scientist and Associate Director at The Center for Sexual Health Promotion and a sexual health educator at The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University. Herbenick is also the author of Because It Feels Good: A Woman’s Guide to Sexual Pleasure and Satisfaction,Read My Lips: A Complete Guide to the Vagina and Vulva, Great in Bed, The I Love You More Book, and Sex Made Easy. She has a Ph.D. in health behavior from Indiana University, a master’s degree in public health from Indiana University, and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. One of the lead scientists associated with the National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior, Herbenick has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on the sexual attitudes and behavior of Americans. Her current research interests include women’s sexual health, factors related to the use of sexual enhancement products, sexual pleasure and enjoyment, condom use, and male and female sexual function. In addition to writing the popular blogs Kinsey Confidential and MySexProfessor.com, she regularly provides commentary for television, radio, and magazines.
