Southwestern’s Sociology Program and the work of Professor Kain are recognized in recent publication
According to a recent publication, Southwestern University is one of nine institutions (and the only non-research 1 university on the list) in the country with the most highly productive scholarship on teaching and learning in the field of sociology. Southwestern’s appearance on the list is primarily due to the ongoing work of Professor Edward L. Kain who has, over the years, published extensively with our sociology majors on the topic of teaching and learning in the discipline.
