Summer Internship Scholarship for Southwestern Student
Wright Family Internship Scholarship announcement
Summer Internship Scholarship for a Southwestern Student
Our office is pleased to announce that Midland alumni Jimmy Wright ‘02 and Laura Wheeler Wright, ’05 have graciously provided funding to be awarded to a Southwestern student pursuing an internship for summer 2010.
The Wright Family Internship Scholarship will begin accepting applications beginning Friday, April 9th, 2010 through Tuesday, April 27th, 2010. This funding opportunity is open to any student in any major pursuing an internship this summer. The goal of the scholarship is to provide funding to help offset expenses that may be incurred during the internship.
The Wrights both pursued internships while at Southwestern and understand the difficulties involved in participating in an internship that may or may not cover your costs during the summer. They are interested in helping a student to realize their goal of a summer internship.
The total amount of the scholarship for this summer is approximately $2,200.00.
If you are interested in applying, you will need to submit a completed Application Form, current resume, and a letter from your internship site (on company letterhead) by the application deadline of April 27, 2010. The Application Form is included below for download.
Submit all application materials to Maria Kruger, Internship Coordinator, Southwestern University – Career Services. Our office is located in Suite 140 of the Prothro Center for Lifelong Learning.
