The STARRY Shelter Services Intern’s primary functions are to assist in the areas of file maintenance, resident planning, and developing and facilitating life skills activities that promote the emotional, spiritual and educational well-being of our clients. This position requires an understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse needs of homeless and runaway youth. This position is supervised by the SAFE Counseling Coordinator and may require morning, evening and occasional weekend scheduling to provide support to program staff. Interns must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check, TB test and drug test. It is also essential for the intern to provide his/her own transportation to and from Round Rock. Work availability should be included in the application (minimum 12 hours per week).
