SPSS Statistics 18 patches for Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6

ITS recommends installing the 18.0.3 patch and 18.0.3.4 hotfix to resolve various problems in SPSS/PASW Statistics 18.0.0 on Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6.

This patch is comprehensive and includes 18.0.1 and 18.0.2. It will upgrade your existing Statistics 18.0.0, 18.0.1, or 18.0.2 installation to Statistics 18.0.3. This is a regular maintenance release and contains fixes for many customer reported defects.
Note: This patch also applies to the various Student versions of the product.

This Hotfix will resolve the issue described in Technical Support Resolution 91842 on Macintosh OSX 10.5 and 10.6 Client operating system:

• Apple Java Update for Mac OS X breaks chart drawing in Statistics 18.0.x

It will also resolve the issue described in Technical Support Resolution 91227 on Macintosh 10.6 Client operating system:

• (2068) Excel file version (Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook) is currently not supported by the Excel DAC (or) Out of Memory error occurred.

Please make sure that the Statistics 18.0.3 Patch for Macintosh is installed first prior to installing the Hotfix.
