Office Computer
All faculty/staff offices are equiped with either a Macintosh or Windows PC. Southwestern is on a 4 year cycle for upgrading computers in our offices and classrooms.
Software
All computers are preloaded with MS Office 200X, firefox for browsing and thunderbird as a mail client. It is against Southwestern policy to allow non-campus licensed software to be installed on SU owned computers. If you need additional software it MUST be purchased by ITS. We will install, update and maintain the license and media. If you need software that is not already loaded on your computer, call the Help Desk, x7333.
Laptop Checkouts
ITS has laptop computers available for checkout. Laptop checkout computers are always in high demand. We can check a computer out for a week at a time. Most checkouts are used for out of town trips and research. Again, call the Help Desk to reserve a laptop.
