Instructional Media Center [IMC]
The Instructional Media Center (IMC) is home to print technologies not found in classrooms and other computer labs on campus. The facility has two scanners - one for documents with a feeder and the other for slides and films of different sizes, a large format or poster printer, a color document printer and a photo printer. These resources are available to anyone on campus as a walk-in-self-serve basis except for the poster printer. The facility is designed for the final production of your work and development of your work can be done in any of the other computer labs on campus.
We are located on the 2nd floor of the Prothro Center inside ITS in room 253. Enter through ITS and the IMC is the room opposite across the short hallway. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to Noon and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM when the university is open.
There is also a document scanner and a color printer located in the 24-hour lab (down the sidewalk to the left of the main entrance to the library). There is also a color copier located in the library on the first floor at the Periodicals desk.
Posters - Procedures for signing up for a time to print a poster and preparation needs for a poster are located at Posters and on the bulletin board in the IMC.
Step-by-step printed instructions on how to use the equipment are in booklets in the IMC and all of the computers and devices are labeled.
