Departments
Academic Computing
Academic computing works closely with technology support services and focuses on faculty and student projects, research and software needs. Included in this department is the Instructional Media Center (IMC) providing access to high end hardware and software for academic projects including scanning, imaging, design and poster printing.
Administrative Computing
This team supports the administrative functions of the university, including Human Resources, Payroll, Financial Aid, Student Records, Procurement, Accounting, and Development activities. Staff members in this unit are programmers and database administrators.
Network and System Operations
The Network and System Operations group is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the campus network infrastructure, the external Internet connection, and the various servers that support both internal and external clients of the services.
Technology Support Services
The Tech Support group manages the ITS HelpDesk which is the first stop for getting assistance with computer hardware and software, telephone, email andnetwork problems in campus offices, labs, and classrooms. Our technicians also install and maintain all the desktop computers, software and peripherals for faculty and staff. For assistance with computer problems, dial x7333 on campus or 819-7333 from off campus.
Telecommunications
This team works with telephone and data connection problems on campus. They assist with voicemail for office phones or in student residence halls. Telecommunications also maintains the cable TV and data connections for all buildings on campus.
