Tri-Beta represents the Honor Society for interested biologists.  First year students can apply to be Associate Members and then apply for Regular Membership after meeting the criteria of a certain grade point average and completion of the first year sequence of Biology.  Dr. Maria Cuevas serves as the main faculty mentor for this group, although all the Biology faculty work to support the work of this very active organization. Tri-Beta contains a subgroup of members focused on pre-health professions including medical, dental and physical therapy.

COURSE MATERIALS

The Biology Department predominately utilizes Segue to post class materials for our students. Some faculty also utilize Sakai for on-line quizzing ability and a more interactive program.  Below you will find a representative sample of syllabi from introductory and upper-level biology courses. Dr. Max Taub, chairperson of the Biology Department, maintains file copies of all recent syllabi. Please contact him or your course instructor if you need past syllabi.
