Engaging Minds, Transforming Lives

Brown Symposium

Additional Information

PRIORITY SEATING: The Alma Thomas Theater will open at 8 a.m. and the symposium will begin at 9 a.m. Pre-registrants should plan to arrive early (preferably by 8:30 a.m.), with a printout of your pre-registration confirmation email. While there are no "reserved" seats, pre-registrants will receive a wristband on arrival and will be allowed into the theater prior to "walk-ins."

PLEASE NOTE: Once the theater is open to walk-ins (around 8:45 a.m.), pregistered guests will no longer be given priority seating. In the event that the theater fills to capacity, simulcast viewing will be available in the same building.

Directions and Parking

Directions to campus can be found here, and a campus map (including an accessibility map for mobility-impaired individuals) can be found here. The Symposium will take place in the Alma Thomas Theater (#13 on the map). The closest parking lot (east of The Alma Thomas Fine Arts Center on Rutersville) will be available for handicapped parking only.

Visitors are advised to find another parking lot on campus (most are open to visitor parking) or to park on a nearby neighborhood street. NOTE: Please use extreme caution in the event you need to cross University Ave (Hwy 29).
