Commercial Photography and Filming on the Southwestern Campus
Guidelines for people outside Southwestern who are interested in using the campus for commercial photography or film shoots
No commercial photo shoots or film shoots may be done on the Southwestern University campus without advance permission from the university.
If you are interested in using the campus for a commercial photo shoot or film shoot, please contact Ellen Davis, director of news and media relations, at 512-863-1570 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Southwestern will consider requests for commercial photo or film shoots as long as they are appropriate and do not interfere with the university’s academic mission. All commercial photo or film shoots require proof of insurance as well as a daily fee.
In no circumstances can for-profit companies use photos or video of the Southwestern campus that may imply university support for a product or service.
Southwestern University reserves the right to photograph and/or videotape students, faculty, staff and guests while on University property or during University-sponsored functions. These images may be used by Southwestern University for promotional purposes, including use on the Southwestern University website, social media channels, and printed materials such as the Southwestern magazine. Anyone wishing not to participate in photo or video shoots should inform the photographer/videographer or move themselves out of range of the camera.
